About Taryn L. Cagnina, MA, LMHC
Taryn L. Cagnina, MA, LMHC, LPCC (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California. She has been working in mental health since 2010, with a clinical focus on eating disorders, substance use, and trauma/PTSD.
She holds a Master’s degree from Lesley University in Expressive Therapies and Clinical Mental Health Counseling and is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Her professional experience spans all levels of care, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient treatment settings. She now focuses exclusively on outpatient private practice with individual adults.
Taryn integrates clinical expertise with lived experience, having personally recovered from an eating disorder. She practices from a “human first, clinician second” philosophy and uses a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to support individuals working through maladaptive patterns and emotional distress.
