About Taryn L. Cagnina, MA, LMHC

Taryn L. Cagnina, MA, LMHC (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts and a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in the state of California. Taryn has been working in mental health since 2010, focusing most of her work on eating disorders, substance abuse, and trauma with adolescents and adults. Taryn holds a Master’s degree from Lesley University in Expressive Therapies and Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and is certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Taryn has experience in all levels of care with all ages, including inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient, and now focuses solely on outpatient private practice with individual adults.

As a clinician fully recovered from an eating disorder, Taryn is passionate about connecting with her clients on a personal level, operating from the philosophy, “Human first, clinician second.” Taryn strives to serve those who are trying to recover from whatever maladaptive behaviors they are using from a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, addressing the whole person. Taryn welcomes all humans of all genders and races to her practice.
